Girls Scouts of Southern Arizona To Host Cookies & Cocktails Gala

The third annual Cookies & Cocktails Gourmet Gala, hosted by Southern Arizona’s Girl Scouts, will be held on Friday, March 21^st from 6-9PM at the Whistle Stop Depot.

This glitz, glamour, and Girl Scout cookie fundraiser will cater to grown-ups and include dinner, drinks, a silent auction, a wine wheel raffle, and live entertainment by the George Howard Band. The main attraction of the event will include local chefs and restaurants to transform one of the six varieties of Girl Scout cookies into a signature dessert to be voted on. The cookies include: Do-si-Dos, Samoas, Savannah Smiles, Tagalongs, Thin Mints and Trefoils.

Proceeds help the more than 14,000 girls ages 5-17 that the Girls Scouts of Southern Arizona serve. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased on their website.

Phoenix restaurateurs Armando Hernandez and chef Nadia Holguin, a James Beard-nominated duo originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, are behind the restaurant.

Tortillas Chiwas is currently open Thursdays through Saturdays from 5–10 pm with 38 seats. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
