All throughout August, Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails at Hilton Tucson El Conquistador will celebrate back-to-school season with a special feature menu that pays tribute to childhood foods. Chef de Cuisine Jonathan Kupper gives brown bag favorites grownup upgrades with his surprising and nostalgic menu:

  • A first course choice of an adult “snackable” featuring an array of fresh veggies, fruit, cheese, and crackers ($14), or house-made tots served with buttermilk blue cheese and Cholula braised tomatillos ($7)
  • For the main course, choose from a Sweet and Savory Peanut Butter & Jelly Chicken with grilled corn rice, raspberry glaze and a spicy peanut sauce ($19); Cured Tomato Grilled Cheese made with local goat cheese, bacon, arugula and gazpacho dip ($17); or Spaghetti & Meatballs featuring lamb chorizo meatballs, cilantro pesto and Cotija cheese ($20)
  • And for dessert – a Strawberry Raspado with Mango Lime Compote ($7)

For a sneak peek, check out this video of Chef Kupper preparing the Peanut Butter and Jelly Chicken creation on KGUN9’s Morning Blend.

Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails is open for dinner nightly from 5 to 10 p.m.  For reservations, call 520) 544-1705. For more information, visit epazotekitchen.com.
