Fox Restaurants’ Freshens NoRTH Concept as Modern Tuscan Farmhouse

Direct from their press release: “On September 4, NoRTH Modern Italian will temporarily close and emerge a few weeks later on September 19 as North Fattoria Italiana, complete with a new design, experience and menu – a modern take on a warm, friendly Tuscan farmhouse.” North-Fattoria-Italiana-Kitchen

Sam Fox is no stranger to winning concepts. And from the photos, it looks great. Although, I can’t help but think that true Tuscan farmhouse ambience comes from the locality and freshness of the ingredients along with the passionate restaurant owner’s presence. But, Sam knows how to appeal to a large audience. And, Tucson lacks a true Northern Italian experience save for Tavolino, which just happens to be across the street. If you haven’t tried Tavolino, you should.

With the new North Fattoria Italiana, expect an updated menu, communal atmosphere, home-made pasta made center-stage, and fresh, handcrafted food. Not that NoRTH wasn’t all of that before. But, based on the pictures, it does look like it will be a great place to visit.
