UPDATE: This event has sold out.
If you are even remotely tuned into social media you’re probably aware of the Ice Bucket Challenge that has been raising money for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Now you can help the ALS Association without getting soaking wet by attending Bite Nite in Tucson on September 6th, a fabulous evening showcasing culinary creations from ten of Tucson’s best chefs.
Bite Nite has been a successful benefit in Phoenix since 2008, but this is the first year they’ll be coming to Tucson. Everyone is invited to attend the event, which will take place at the Westin La Paloma from 6 to 10 pm. Eat, drink and enjoy live entertainment and a silent auction with culinary prizes like restaurants gift cards, wine dinners and more.
Participating restaurants to date include:
ALS Arizona Chapter Executive Director Taryn Norley and the board of directors felt the time was right for this event to have a Tucson presence.
“ALS is a disease that knows no boundaries–the need for support is everywhere,” said Norley. “We are currently assisting 70 patients in Tucson and Southern Arizona. The warm welcome we have received from Tucson Chefs and sponsors has been gratifying.”
Tickets to attend the event are $100 per person (or $1000 for a table of 10 with guaranteed seating) and can be purchased online at http://bitenite.org/tucson/.
