Get Schooled in Cheese by World’s Leading Cheese Expert at Blu

On Sunday, March 8, world renowned cheese expert and author Max McCalman will lead “A Guided Cheese & Wine Tasting Event” at Blu, A Wine & Cheese Stop from 3pm to 5pm. McCalman will be teaching about some of the world’s finest cheeses and the best wine varietals and vintages for pairing.

“Max is a cheese genius,” said Blu owner Tana Fryer. “McCalman is the driving force behind the Certification Committee of the American Cheese Society and he helped develop the professional certification exam for cheesemongers, now in its third year. It is exciting to be able to bring someone of his caliber to Tucson.”

McCalman is author of the 2006 James Beard award winning Cheese: A Connoisseur’s Guide to the World’s Best. In addition, Mastering Cheese won Best Cheese Book in the World at the 2010 Gourmand Cookbook Awards in Paris.

Tickets are $45 per person and available online through Eventbrite. Reservations are required and seating is limited.
