I think it’s safe to say that most of us have eaten a Girl Scout Cookie. But, until last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay hadn’t.

Ramsay, now into the fifteenth season of Hell’s Kitchen, told Kimmel how important it is for his chefs to actually taste what they’re cooking before they begin cooking it.

“I have a different method of teaching young cooks,” said Ramsay. “I teach them how to taste first, before I teach them how to cook, because if you don’t know what it tastes like, you should not be cooking it.”

Kimmel then mentioned that he heard Ramsay had never tasted a Girl Scout Cookie.

“I’m going to, first of all warn you, this is almost like sacred territory you’re entering here,” Kimmel says, as he compares the Girl Scout Cookie to the American flag and Willie Nelson.

Kimmel brings out three boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, and before even tasting them, Ramsay is quick to say, “they look like dog biscuits.”

When tasting the cookies, he credits the Tagalong, as “okay,” but spits out the Samoa before sampling the famous Thin Mint, which he said tasted like “cheap, half-rate dinner mints.”
