Not all cyberslacking is unfruitful.
How else would one know that Contigo posted its new menu on Facebook today?
For those not in the know, Contigo, a long time Tucson favorite that closed semi-recently with no plan to reopen has, in fact, reopened.
The pan-Latin restaurant opened quietly yesterday in the former Poppy Kitchen space, which was also home to J-Bar for years at Westin La Paloma. Contigo’s new menu offers many old favorites and new dishes.
A small selection of highlights include:
- Las Favoritas – Dates stuffed with Spanish chorizo, wrapped in smoked pork
- Boquerones – White anchovies, tomato tapenade, grilled bread
- Arepa Lechona – Brazilian stewed pork, spicy mango sauce, and Cotija
- Chuletas – Lamb chops marinated in parsley and lemon, mint chimichurri and french fries
