Serial Grillers Pizza, Salad and Subs is opening its second location in northwest Tucson at 1970 W. River Rd. late January 2017.

“We live nearby, so we’ll be able to come by quickly and make sure business is running well,” said Travis Miller, co-owner of Serial Grillers.

Brothers Travis and William Miller started Serial Grillers as a food truck in 2013 before expanding to a brick-and-mortar establishment on 5737 E. Speedway Blvd.

Earlier this year, the Speedway location expanded with a 40-handle taproom. The new location in the former R & R Pizza space will bring 25-30 beers on tap, as well as deliver the same food menu as the Speedway location.

The new location will feature communal tables of varying heights rather than a full bar since it’s an open space, Wiliams said.

Earlier this year, Serial Grillers’ Bone Collector pizza was ranked as a top 50 delivery pizza by Food Network with its “tempting spiral of boneless chicken wings splattered with three cheeses, Buffalo sauce and ranch dressing.
