The best part of waking up is something you roasted on your own, ground up, and then poured into a cup.
Roll up your sleeves because Yellow Brick Coffee is hosting a roasting class from noon – 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 1.
This 60 minute class will introduce the basic principles of coffee roasting, and how they apply to Papua New Guinea: AAAK Angra Mindima.
For $35, participants will get a hands-on approach while identifying sensory milestones and learn the science and language applied to roasting your own coffee.
While the coffee is being cooled and packaged, the class instructors will lead an open discussion about the process of roasting.
Once your coffee has chilled long enough, you’ll be on your way with your freshly roasted 12-ounce bag, and a new understanding of how great coffee is really made.
