The Habit Burger Grill to Open First Tucson Location January 10

Irvine-based burger chain The Habit Burger Grill will open its first Tucson location at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10.

The 2,800-square-foot restaurant at 5721 E. Broadway Blvd. seats 72 inside with room for 28 on the patio.

Although the official grand opening is Wednesday, the location will celebrate Free Habit Day starting at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, where the first 200 guests will be awarded with a free Charburger, fries, and a drink.

The Habit Burger signature item is the Charburger, which features a fresh, never-frozen grilled beef patty topped with cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and mayo on a toasted bun.

Other popular items include tri-tip, grilled chicken, and sushi-grade grilled tuna sandwiches along with sweet potato fries and tempura green beans. The menu also offers salads, shakes, and malts.

Operating hours will be 10:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday with the drive-thru open through midnight, 10:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday with the drive-thru open through 11 p.m.

The Habit Burger original location opened in 1969 in Santa Barbara, California. It was awarded the “best tasting burger in America” by Consumer Reports in 2014. The Tucson location will be the company’s 10th Arizona location.

Other burger options in the Broadway Boulevard and Craycroft Road area include Graze Premium Burgers, Monkey Burger, and Five Guys.
