French fries are one of the greatest foods of all time. They’re known to help prevent hangovers, cure them, and get you over a breakup.

The simple ingredients — potatoes, oil, and salt — don’t create the perfect fry alone. Technical knowledge and execution are required for a crunchy exterior and creamy interior.

You don’t need to read the science behind french fry perfection, just try our top picks for best French fries in Tucson.

While most fries use the classic Russet potato, 47 Scott uses the same Kennebec potato favored by In-N-Out Burger. However, 47 Scott’s fries are leagues ahead of In-N-Out’s fries.

They have indeed perfected the seriously crunchy exterior and creamy interior. It’s pure potato heaven with the side of red pepper aioli. They even stay crunchy when they’ve cooled down.

  • Ermanos makes some of the best, consistently good french fries and the portions are huge. Coming in a close second, is the Cup Cafe. It is hard to make a list of the best french fries without categorizing them first. Some people prefer shoestring, some prefer batter dipped and some prefer hand cut, skin on fries.

  • Teddi Triphon

Fronimos Greek Cafe has amazing fries! Their normal fries are the perfect combo of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Also they have really delicious Greek fries, which is drizzled with feta and olive oil. Best fries I’ve had in Tucson so far
