The Dugout Sports Bar and Grill is a fun sports bar known for its batting cages and family-friendly game room, but the deep-fried food menu is also a home run at 4880 E. 22nd St.
The restaurant used to be named Home Plate (there’s also Home Plate in Marana but with different ownership), and the location has been a part of the Tucson community since the ‘70s.
Open from 10 a.m. – 2 a.m. seven days a week, The Dugout serves classic bar fare such as wings, burgers, and pizza.
The Dugout’s menu also has shareables like Deep-Fried Zucchini and Onion Rings — get ‘em individually or as a combo! The Jalapeño Poppers ought to get you fired up, too, if you’re planning on swinging in the batting cages.
The Dugout plates up sandwiches served on a hoagie roll. The Dimaggio, named after the baseball player, is a sandwich with ham, salami, pepperoni, Italian provolone, lettuce, tomato, and onion. While the Base on Balls is The Dugout’s meatball sandwich with mozzarella and marinara.
The Dugout also offers daily food specials!
Some of their weekly deals include Taco Tuesday, Wing Wednesday, and Fish Fry Friday.
