By Matt Sterner

The next R&D Dinner is right around the corner — happening from 6 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 at 5 Points Market & Restaurant, 756 S. Stone Ave.

These monthly chef-led dinners offer a unique and interactive experience between guests and the chef. Multi-course meals are presented, featuring experimental dishes in development for future menus, while guests provide feedback through comment cards and direct conversations.

At 5 Points on Wednesday, March 12, they’re serving six courses, including gnudi (gnocchi-like dumplings) and a lemon tea cake with lemon cream and poppy-crusted Arizona pecans to finish the evening.

Tickets are $95 per person. This month, we’ve allotted an additional 15 tickets for non-Tucson Foodie members. They’re selling fast, so don’t putter around!

First Course
  • House sourdough focaccia and piloncillo butter
Second Course
  • Caraflex – braised blue sky conehead cabbage, miso honey butter, and gochugaru roasted peanuts
Third Course
  • Cauliflower – flash fried blue sky cauliflower, whipped goat cheese, and pickled mustard seed
Fourth Course
  • Gnudi – burst heirloom cherry tomatoes, fennel cream, basil, and cured egg yolk
Fifth Course
  • Chicken Leg – confited and fried whole chicken leg, lemongrass and chili schmaltz, and aioli
