While some new restaurants are opening, other local spots are unfortunately closing.

El Indio Restaurant, which is located at 3355 S. Sixth Ave., has decided to permanently shut its doors after years in business.

The restaurant posted the following on Facebook:

“Thank you, Tucson for your support throughout the years.”

The closure comes right on the heels of several other local restaurants and bars that have struggled to make ends meet during the current pandemic, much like DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails and the Independent Distillery.
