Baja Sonoran breakfast restaurant Mother Hubbard’s Cafe announced they are open the public for only a few more days.

The Mother Hubbard’s Cafe page on Facebook posted the following:

Mother Hubbard’s opened in 1973 and developed its reputation for low-cost breakfasts and its support of the local community of people living with HIV and AIDS. When Kelzi Bartholomaei acquired the restaurant in 2010, she introduced in-house cured and smoked meats and specialty waffles.

Another priority was representing traditional cookery of Native American people. About 80% of the ingredients are sourced from Arizona and immediately surrounding states.

Additionally, the restaurant partnered with local nonprofits that offer culinary training programs to disenfranchised, under-served, and low-income populations and preferentially hire graduates from those classes.

Favorite dishes exclusive at Mother Hubbard’s include the Green Corn Waffle, Bisbee Bowl, and Huevos Elysia.

Mother Hubbard’s Cafe is located at 14 W. Grant Rd. and can be reached at (520) 623-7976. For more information, visit motherhubbardscafe.com or the Mother Hubbard’s Cafe page on Facebook.
