French Libation dinner with Elodie Wester

It’s time for our periodic reminder.  We remind you of this at tastings throughout the year, but every once in a while, an emissary comes from a faraway place, and we honor that emissary for spending time and imparting wisdom with us.  We do this by putting together a dinner.  What are we reminding you? Turn. The. Bottle. Around.  If you pick up an unfamiliar bottle of wine, there’s no way of knowing whether the drink inside will hold up to the promise of the label.  The front label, anyhow.  The back label is another matter altogether, and here’s why: Importers have personalities.

When you find an importer whose wines you’ve enjoyed, you can feel incrementally safer with an unfamiliar bottle from the same importer.  With this in mind, our friend Elodie Wester will find herself in Tucson at our behest, and she’ll have with her four delicious French libations imported by, well, French Libation.  You can join us and Elodie on Wednesday, May 22nd, at 6 pm for four courses, four wines, a little bitty dessert and a discount on any of the wines you choose to take home to revisit.
