A Monthly Market (Mercadito) at the Milpitas de Cottonwood Community Farm
Join us July 27th from 6:30 - 9PM for the next edition of Las Milpitas Mercadito. Vendors offer everything from handmade jewelry, hair clips and ties, to artisanal Oaxacan products and traditional clothing, handpainted hats and embroidered napkins, as well as garden products such as vermicompost, organic fertilizer, potting soil, and fruit trees. Food vendors sell aguas frescas, coffee and more. The vendor list varies month to month.
The Mercadito is a gardener-run event. Its mission is to offer community members the space and opportunity to start small businesses and create additional sources of income for their households. There is no cost to be a vendor; the organizers' only request is that vendors try to use sustainable products and maintain the grounds free of trash.
Cash is preferred; some vendors do accept credit cards.
