It’s a strange time for local restaurants. Many are doing whatever it takes to keep the food and fun times flowing during the current pandemic — all while ensuring that everyone’s safety is a top priority, of course.
Meanwhile, the Pima County Health Department is going around Tucson and handing out “Ready for You” emblems for restaurants to display in their windows.
Now, this is being handed out to businesses that have adopted the “minimum protective health and safety measures,” and have also “pledged to adhere to these guidelines and are certified for compliance by the Pima County Health Department.”
This doesn’t necessarily mean that the restaurants without the emblem aren’t ready to serve you its tasty cuisine in a safe and compliant manner. It’s important to support all local restaurants that are going above and beyond.
The Pima County Health Department simply hasn’t gotten to every spot in town just yet, but in the meantime, they’re keeping the list publicly updated online.
Additionally, if a restaurant hasn’t received the emblem and wants to slap one of the stickers on their front window, they can apply online with the health department.
