If you remember Arizona Restaurant Week, that time of the year (years ago) when many local restaurants would offer a special menu for a week, then this should sound familiar.
A Visit Tucson sponsored promotion, Sonoran Restaurant Week seeks to accomplish a few different things: draw attention to local restaurants during one of the slower months, expose restaurants to people that might not have been to the establishment before, and help support the Community Food Bank.
The first annual Sonoran Restaurant Week: A Celebration of Tucson City of Gastronomy will take place from Friday, September 6 through Sunday, September 15. At least 30 restaurants are releasing limited three-course meals at discounted prices.
“We’re excited to see Sonoran Restaurant Week unfold, and the Community Food Bank is thrilled to benefit from an event that showcases our vibrant, local restaurant community,” said Michael McDonald, CEO of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
The three-course dinners will range from $25 to $35 a person.

More local restaurants are welcome to register for the 10- day celebration and help raise funds and awareness for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
