Inside the Green Business Boot Camp

Local First Arizona created the Green Business Boot Camp as a hands-on program for enterprises that want measurable change.

Over the course of the program, participants:

  • Track their energy and water use
  • Identify waste streams and diversion options
  • Review purchasing policies for more sustainable choices
  • Align cost savings with environmental goals

Graduates leave with a clear action plan, plus connections to local vendors and technical experts who support their next steps.

Why this graduation matters for Tucson

Graduates represent sectors that touch daily life in Tucson, including food service, hospitality, marketing, and nonprofit work.

Each business now models how sustainability can support profit, resilience, and community impact at the same time.

As more local spots invest in energy efficiency and waste reduction, Tucson strengthens its identity as a city that values both flavor and future.
