The Bambi Bar Sold to Become a Drive-Thru Business

The Bambi Bar located at 5050 E. Speedway Blvd. has been sold to the real estate agency Larsen Baker.

If you’re familiar with the location, the bar sits on a 30,000-square-f00t property that’s been large enough for plenty of bargoers to park and food trucks to set up shop. Once the property is rezoned, it will become a drive-thru business that’s yet to be named.

There’s still some good news, though!

The Bambi Bar will continue to operate during the rezoning process, so stop in and grab a cold Miller High Life before it’s too late.

Rock the jukebox (I believe they have a TouchTunes jukebox, from what I remember), strike up a conversation with a stranger, and be on the lookout for ghosts. According to some, The Bambi Bar is a little haunted. In 1986, someone supposedly died while talking in the phone booth.

Speedway Boulevard has seen quite a few drive-thrus pop up in recent years and there are a few more on the way like a new Quizno’s at 2601 E. Speedway Blvd. This is where the former Fish Wok was until it was demolished less than a year ago.

Also, there’s something new coming in at the corner of Speedway Boulevard and Country Club Road, and it looks an awful lot like a drive-thru coffee shop (the spot used to be a Native Grill & Wings).

The Bambi Bar is located at 5050 E. Speedway Blvd. To keep up with the latest, follow The Bambi Bar on Facebook.

The Bay Horse Tavern is also for sale at 2802 E. Grant Rd. We don’t know too many details just yet but it is indeed on the market. Maybe a dive bar enthusiast will purchase the Bay Horse and keep the memories going!
