Restaurant Partners

Free to join, and built to send people through your door.

Tucson Foodie Insiders is a membership club for people who eat out constantly. Partner restaurants offer them something worth turning up for; we handle the promotion, the distribution and the support. It costs you nothing.

For locally owned restaurants, artisans and markets. If you're a chain or a national brand, the conversation we'd have is a different one — that's Brand Partners, where the rates are published.

Measured, not marketed.

Not from our systems

Social reach and ad impressions sit in Meta and the ad server, not in anything we can read from here. We'll bring the current figures to the call with the date they were pulled, rather than print them alongside numbers we can prove.

What being a partner does and does not mean

The programme is free, and our coverage is not for sale. Those two facts are the same fact.

It is free, and it stays free
No listing fee, no membership dues, no tier you can buy. The voucher you offer is the whole commitment, and it goes to your guests rather than to us.
You cannot buy coverage, and you do not need to
We do not sell editorial — no sponsored articles, ever. Partners are covered on exactly the same terms as everyone else: because an editor thought it was worth writing about.
You can leave whenever you like
Pause or end your offer with a message. There is no term, no notice period, and no penalty for stopping — an offer you resent is worse for both of us than no offer.

Want us to write about you?

Pitch it. A new menu, an opening, a chef doing something worth the trip — send it to our editor. It costs nothing, it always has, and joining Insiders will not make it more likely. A good story will.

Pitch a story to our editor

What a partnership looks like

One offer, live in the app, redeemable by members. That is the whole mechanism.

What it costs you

Nothing but the offer itself

There is no fee at any point. The only thing you commit is the value you choose to put in front of members — and you set the terms.

  • $40 total voucher value per member — two $20 offers, or one at $40
  • Digital redemption in the app, through a "Tucson Foodie Insiders" button in your POS
  • Any stipulations you need: dine-in only, one per table, day or time limits
  • A little staff training — we provide visual examples and reminder signage
Apply to join Insiders

What you get

  • Ongoing foot traffic from a high-intent local audience
  • Names and emails of guests who opt in when they redeem
  • In-app promotion in the Tucson Foodie app, the exclusive home of Insiders
  • Dashboard access, plus a monthly report with a redemption-history spreadsheet
  • Brand alignment with Tucson's most trusted food voice
  • A direct line to our editorial and social teams

Apply to join Insiders

Two fields are required and the rest help. Addie looks after restaurant partnerships and reads these herself.

First, one question.

Is your business locally owned? The Insiders programme is for independent Tucson restaurants, artisans and markets — chains and national groups are not eligible, and we would rather tell you that now than after you have filled in a form.

A new Chihuahuan-style restaurant and tortilla factory is opening in Tucson! @Tortillaschiwas debuts Thursday at 914 N. Grande Ave. in Barrio Hollywood, inside the former Grande Tortilla Factory.

Phoenix restaurateurs Armando Hernandez and chef Nadia Holguin, a married couple originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, are behind the project. The James Beard-nominated duo will bring a roughly 15-item menu featuring dishes from their Phoenix restaurants, including Cocina Chiwas and Espiritu Cocktails + Comida.

Tortillas Chiwas will initially be open Thursdays through Saturdays from 5–10 p.m. with just 38 seats. Reservations are available on OpenTable. The team also plans to mill nixtamal on-site for hand-pressed tortillas, continuing the building’s long tortilla-making history.

“Indian food represents many different regions and cooking styles, featuring far more than the curries that it is popularly known for — though those are certainly found in abundance at Tucson’s Indian restaurants. For religious reasons, beef and pork are not common in the Indian diet, but carnivores can enjoy plenty of chicken, lamb, and seafood dishes. Most Indian restaurants have large sections of their menus devoted to vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes, too.

Kitchens are almost always accommodating about adjusting spice levels but as a rule of thumb, the hottest dishes are the vindaloos, while the mildest are the kormas and biriyanis.” — @ediebjarolim
