The Mercado District is celebrating its seventh anniversary with a new expansion and a weekend block party from Friday, May 4 – Sunday, May 6.
Mercado San Agustin, home of restaurants and merchants like Agustin Kitchen and Seis Kitchen, is patting itself on the back for a full seven years in the district.
The weekend block party will also include the opening of the new MSA Annex and festival grounds, a pop-up Spring Bazaar with local collectors and creators, and free live music.
The MSA Annex is bringing in 13 new locally owned small businesses housed inside modified shipping containers, making it a total of 26 businesses along the Mercado District’s Avenida Del Convento.
Among the new businesses you can expect to find are Westbound, which will serve local beer, wine, and craft cocktails, Beaut Burger and its plant-based burgers, fries, and beer, along with Isabella’s Ice Cream‘s second location, which started out in the Mercado Community Kitchen.
Giant Sand and Howe Gelb, Brian Lopez, Mariachi’s, Flam Chen performers, Tom Walbank, Golden Boots, and more will perform their music over the weekend.
Mercado San Agustin is located at 100 S. Avenida Del Convento. For more information, visit mercadodistrict.com.
