Tequila 101 is now enrolling students.

Downtown Tucson’s Elvira’s is teaming up with Tequila Herradura to host an educational tequila tasting class from 6 – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 23.

If you’re not aware, Herradura has been making its handcrafted and barrel-aged tequilas since 1870, so you’ve got some catching up to do if you’ve never tried it.

National distributor Breakthru Beverage’s Lorenzo Lucas will take care of the hands-on portion of the class, and bring a lineup of different tequilas for you to discover and taste.

You won’t go hungry either because Elvira’s will be providing samples of street tacos from their happy hour menu, along with a Herradura “Welcome” cocktail.

Tickets are $25 per person, which includes tax and gratuity.

Elvira’s is located downtown at 256 E. Congress St. For more information, call (520) 499-2302 and visit Elvira’s Facebook Event Page to purchase your tickets.
