“Tucson Stout Showdown” Competition at Tap & Bottle North

A friendly battle to determine who has the best dark beer in town on International Stout Day.

(GMT-07:00)

Here’s a competition. Not short, but stout.

Tap & Bottle North is hosting a Stout Showdown with a handful of Tucson craft breweries from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 1.

The local competition is bringing in six of Tucson’s breweries, and they all feel like they’ve got what it takes to quench your thirst.

The fun part about this competition is that you’ll “blind taste” all the stouts. Once you’ve tried them all and voted for your favorite, a winner for the “Best Stout” will be revealed at the end of the night.

It’s going to be $12 to $15 to taste a flight of all six beers.

Participating Local Breweries

  • Button Brew House
  • Copper Mine Brewing Company
  • Crooked Tooth Brewing Company
  • Harbottle Brewing Company
  • Sentinel Peak Brewing Company
  • Thunder Canyon Brewstillery

If stouts aren’t your thing, but you’d still like to check out the competition, the 3,000-square-foot space includes more on tap and a bottle shop featuring more than 500 different bottles of beer. The rotating tap list — constantly being updated — features 29 beers and 8 wines.

Tap & Bottle North is located at 7254 N. Oracle Rd. For more information, visit Tap & Bottle’s Facebook Event Page.
