Tea, coffee, breakfast & the wild kingdom.

(GMT-07:00)

Sip, stretch, and wake up on the wild side.

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is hosting its first ever “Morning at the Museum” event 9 a.m. – noon on Saturday, January 26.

The animals are welcoming you to their stomping grounds for tastings and presentations from local coffee roasters and tea houses, early morning snacks, easy going tunes from the Jacob Acosta Band, and yoga with Empower Tucson Yoga.

Did you know birds and coffee have certain things in common? Sonya Norman from Desert Museum Public Programs can tell you all about it.

A combination of tastings and fun activities like this should get everyone’s day started on the right foot — or paw.

In addition to the tea and coffee samples, there will be morning cocktails to sip on at the cash bar — Bloody Marys, Mimosas, and Irish Coffees aplenty.

Tickets are $32 for the Advance General Admission, $15 for Museum Members, $8.95 for kids 3-12 years old, and anyone younger than that is free.

Your experience includes admission to the museum, samples from all vendors, a 12-ounce cup of coffee and pastry, a commemorative coffee mug, all activities, yoga classes, and 15% off lunch at the Ocotillo Café.
