Breweries, let’s get ready to rumble.

Hotel Congress is hosting the eighth annual Born & Brewed local beer battle from 7 – 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 14.

Every year, some of the city’s best breweries throw down in a friendly battle, while hoping to earn the title of Tucson’s Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice  — which means you’ve got a handful of beers to taste this year.

General Admission tickets are $40 and VIP Admission is $100 per person.

Each ticket includes beer tastings and a commemorative glass, but different food menus — which will be served by Cup Café. Other perks are included in the VIP Admission.

With the General Admission ticket you’ll have the option to choose one of two menus. The VIP Admission includes a four-course meal, which is in collaboration with Dragoon Brewing Company.

General Admission Menu

• Pork Schnitzel Slider – fried pork, braised cabbage, caper mushroom sauce, and on a brioche bun
• Kielbasa Kebab – grilled kielbasa sausage, bell peppers, red onions, on a skewer with a beer rosemary mustard sauce
• Dragoon Vichyssoise – a cold beer potato soup
• Soft Pretzel Stick – soft pretzel with a cheese sauce

General Admission Vegetarian Menu

• Jackfruit Sliders – barbecue jackfruit, lemon slaw, and on a brioche bun
• Vegetable Kebab – grilled mushrooms, bell pepper, red onion, and on a skewer with a beer rosemary mustard sauce
• Dragoon Vichyssoise – a cold beer potato soup
• Soft Pretzel Stick – soft pretzel with a cheese sauce

VIP Admission Menu

First Course

• Sweet Pear and Parsnip Bisque – with Danish blue cheese crumbles and Maynards Market and Kitchen garden chive oil
• Paired with the Dragoon Santa Cruz’r

Second Course

• Arugula Salad – prosciutto, Marcona almonds, dried apricot, and black peppercorn smoked honey vinaigrette
• Paired with the Dragoon Refraction

Third Course

• Spiced Cornish Game Hen – stuffed with wild rice melody, plum gastrique, root vegetable, and potato gratin
• Paired with the Dragoon Stronghold Session

Fourth Course

• Stronghold Session Crullers – with cocoa nib glaze, coffee ganache, and blueberry Chantilly
