Back in December, history was made, but now you get to taste the creation.
Borderlands Brewing Company is tapping into the Las Hermanas IPA during its release party from 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday, January 17.
Last month, the women brewers of Borderlands Brewing teamed up with the women brewers of Turulata Brewing Company from Mexico — making it the first all-female binational brewing project.
“This collaborative brew has brought together two nations in the spirit of diplomacy, a shared passion for craft beer and the empowerment of women,” said Marisol Vindiola, director of Mexico initiatives at Visit Tucson, in a press release.

“This is a great opportunity to show women are playing an important role in craft brewing and to further the conversation on diversity in the brewing industry. With Las Hermanas we are transcending borders, sharing knowledge, and investing in our brew,” Sandra Navarro of Turulata Brewing Company said.
That’s pretty sweet, right?
Speaking of sweet, the Las Hermanas IPA should have a hint of sweetness, which is a hazy, tropical, and juicy brew.
The release party is free to attend and there will be food available to purchase, too.
