“Live from La Suprema” virtual cooking class & fundraiser

La Suprema Works & Events is hosting a free live streaming cooking class featuring chef Moody Elbarasi of The Coronet at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6.

The workspace and event center put the cooking class together to help raise funds for the Lalo Guerrero Barrio Viejo Elderly Housing in Barrio Viejo.

In addition to chef Moody filling your brain full of culinary knowledge, Five Points Market & Restaurant is making the experience extra convenient by preparing grocery packs for those who want to participate.

You’ve got the option to pick up all of the ingredients you need for the class and then make it customizable for your needs.

Here’s what you’ll be making in the class:
  • Steak (or protein of your choice)
  • Fried Carrots
  • Chimichurri
  • Roman Mashed Spuds
  • Roasted Radishes

Tickets to the class are free but you’ll want to reserve your spot ahead of time.

If you can’t make it to the virtual class, donations can still be given to support the Lalo Guerrero Barrio Viejo Elderly House. They’re hoping to raise a sufficient chunk of change to buy groceries and toiletries for their residents. Each $2000 is enough to support them for at least one week.
