One way to celebrate Arizona Gives Day is with puppies and ice cream.
HUB Ice Cream Parlor is teaming up with Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption to promote their work with greyhounds from noon – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.
To show its appreciation, the ice cream shop is giving 20 percent of its sales for the day to support the cause of caring for greyhounds, fostering them, and re-homing the pooches.
HUB Ice Cream will have its familiar assortment of ice cream treats for humans and then some house-made Pupsicles for your furry companion. For the day, dogs will be allowed into the parlor — on the patio, too — and they’re invited to meet Millie, the “Star of the Parlor.” Millie found her forever home with HUB Ice Cream’s general manager, Kristel.
Arizona Gives Day has helped raise more than $23 million for Arizona’s nonprofit sector. While giving is available online all year, the online giving campaign takes place in early April each year. The program is supported by our presenting sponsor FirstBank, along with a variety of other sponsor organizations.
HUB Ice Cream Parlor is located at 245 E. Congress St. For more information, visit thehubicecream.com.
