You’ve got your Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and then Cyber Monday, but you can’t forget about Giving Tuesday — the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
From 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, Watershed Management Group is gettin’ the party started with a one-of-a-kind Rainwater on Tap Happy Hour — serving up rainwater cocktails.
If you’re unfamiliar with Watershed Management, the group develops community-based solutions so that the “long-term prosperity of people and health of the environment” is a top priority. This event is a celebration of local water solutions, including an experience of Watershed Management’s rainwater-fed landscape, Sonoran food forest, waterless toilets, and a river heritage exhibit.
The evening is destined to be as festive as ever with live cumbia music by Santa Pachita, dinner with The Curry Pot food truck, and your choice of two rainwater cocktails, Pueblo Vida Brewing Company’s beer, or hot cider.
Sure, the weather is getting a bit chilly, but they’ll have a chimenea, gas heaters, and hot cider waiting to fire you up. On top of everything else that was already mentioned, there’s going to be jumbo-sized Jenga, cornhole, and most likely a dance-off or two.
Tickets are $20 and that includes two drink tickets. Purchase them ahead of time because they’ll be $25 on the day of.
If you aren’t able to make it to the unique Happy Hour, there are other ways to show your appreciation for what the group is doing. They’re currently attempting to reach a $45,000 Giving Tuesday goal and you can become a monthly donor starting at $10 a month, or you can make a one-time donation.
Also, they’ll be selling their branded Hyrdate Local growlers, which can be used and filled at any of the local breweries pouring here in Tucson.
The Rainwater on Tap Happy Hour is being held at 1137 N. Dodge Blvd. For more information, visit watershedmg.org.
