Aside from Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and other holidays involving giant bags of candy, National Donut Day is one of the sweetest days of the year.
So, how do you spell it? Doughnut or donut? Popular doughnut purveyors like Dunkin’ have made “donut” a lot more common over the years, but hey, we’re talking about locally-owned and operated doughnut shops here.
I’m stickin’ with “doughnuts” from this point forward. So, keep on scrolling for one-day, local deals on Friday, June 2.
The brewery is offering a beer and doughnut pairing for the holiday. The lineup will include three doughnuts and three six-ounce beers. It’s first come, first serve.

Throughout the day, Cal’s Bakeshop’s partnerships will be offering free doughnuts to the first 12 customers who stop by and buy coffee from Cuppa Go Go, Tucson Coffee Cricket, Red Captain Coffee, Green Desert Coffee, Barista Del Barrio, and Essential Coffee Cart.
Then, later on in the day at 4 p.m., Tucson Hop Shop will be giving away mini doughnuts.
