Aside from Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and other holidays involving giant bags of candy, National Donut Day is one of the sweetest days of the year.

So, how do you spell it? Doughnut or donut? Popular doughnut purveyors like Dunkin’ have made “donut” a lot more common over the years, but hey, we’re talking about locally-owned and operated doughnut shops here.

I’m stickin’ with “doughnuts” from this point forward. So, keep on scrolling for one-day, local deals on Friday, June 2.
