By Matt Sterner

“Our brand-new Tucson store, located at 4841 N. Stone Ave. is ready to go, and we are so excited to bring the greenest and most energy-efficient Bookmans store that we have ever built.”

Bookman River is hosting a snazzy Grand Opening Party on Friday, November 10.

From 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., Under Pressure Grill and Red’s Tacos & More will be serving food, and then Off the Hook Seafood and Black Market Barbecue will take over from 4 – 9 p.m.

Also, from 4 – 9:30 p.m., Crooked Tooth Brewing Company will be there with some craft beer. Each guest who’s 21 years and older will be treated to two free beers. Yeah, you read that correctly. Party on, Bookmans!

It was sad to see the Northwest and Midtown locations close but the team has brought along as much as they could to create a new space full of nostalgia. Plus, they repurposed, reused, and revampd everything they could at the new Bookmans River.

“Bookmans has always aimed to keep everything we can out of landfills,” said Sean Feeney, President of Bookmans. “In fact, that’s our whole business model. We’re taking that same approach to constructing our new store.”

This means that the River Road store will be filled with familiar merchandise and those iconic “Bookmans orange” bookshelves.

“There is nothing easy about saying goodbye to two of our most popular stores, but we know that our customers will love the new store just as much,” Feeney added. “And this has given us the opportunity to design a Bookmans with the lowest water and energy consumption per square foot yet.”

The new River Road store is located near Sam’s Club on Stone Avenue — an area specifically chosen for its proximity to both the Midtown and Northwest stores’ customers.

The new Bookmans is located at 4841 N. Stone Ave. For more information, visit bookmans.com and follow Bookmans River on Instagram.
