Hillhouse Coffee is Closing its Doors on Kolb Road

January 22, 2024
By Matt Sterner

Last week, Hillhouse Coffee announced on social media that its shop on the east side will be closing for good at 1060 S. Kolb Rd. The very last day to order a cold roast is Wednesday, January 31.

Almost two years ago, co-owners Logan Power and Eric Haberman opened their drive-thru experience at 8991 E. Tanque Verde Rd. in the parking lot next to The Gardens at Bear Canyon. In May 2023, the coffee gurus relocated and moved into the building on Kolb Road — expanding into a larger space with plans to start serving a food menu.

“Thank you, Tucson for the support over these last few years,” they shared. “We’ll miss you.”

Many folks, including some of us here at Tucson Foodie, thought that it maybe it was a clever way to announce a rebranding of some sort. However, they shared a follow-up post over the weekend explaining that it is indeed a closure.

“We are actually closing on January 31. It was a wild ride — we learned a lot. It was a great few years. We were glad you were able to come get some drinks you enjoyed. Starting Tuesday, we’ll be here 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. until the 31st. So, please come by — we’d love to see you and thank you for being customers.”

Hillhouse Coffee is at 1060 S. Kolb Rd. For more information and updates, visit hillhousecoffee.com and follow Hillhouse Coffee on Instagram.
