Monday Munchies: Lunch Specials & Combos at Transplant Pizza

There are plenty of food specials to be found in and around Tucson. Sure, many of them can be discovered at the national fast-food restaurant that always seems to have lines of cars wrapped around the building, but go on and break away from that crowd. Try something local instead — local doesn’t mean it’s expensive.

Comin’ in hot: Transplant Pizza’s combo specials.

Currently, the Detroit-style pizza joint at 4605 E. Speedway Blvd. has a few deals that ought to pair nicely with craft beer and classic video games, both of which can be found next door at Craft, A Modern Drinkery. They’ve even made it more convenient by allowing you to order food at the bar.

The lunch specials are available from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Monday – Friday.

There’s a lot to like about the mammoth pizzas because of the super thick crust and the mountain of toppings (depending on how you order it, that is). Then there are the sandwiches — they’re some of my favorites in Tucson. Keep scrolling to check out the lunch specials.

  • Sandwich Combo – any two sandwiches, two bags of chips, and two fountain drinks ($25.99)
  • Detroit-Style Slice & Salad Combo – one slice of the Double Pepperoni or Three Cheese pizza, any small salad, and a small fountain drink ($12.99)
  • Individual Detroit-Style SliceThree Cheese ($2.75) or a Double Pepperoni ($3.50)
  • Full Detroit-Style Pizza – small Three Cheese pizza ($10) or a small Double Pepperoni pizza ($14.50)

Transplant Pizza is located at 4605 E. Speedway Blvd. For more information, visit transplantpizza.com.
