Old Times Kafe Seeks Help From the Community To Stay Open

Old Times Kafe — a 1940s ranch house turned restaurant since 1986 — is asking for help to keep the long-running business open at 1485 W. Prince Rd.

Recently, the breakfast and lunch cafe shared a GoFundMe with hopes that they’ll raise $20,000 to “take care of maintenance issues,” make some much-needed updates, and to help pay utilities and rent.

“We have been here for 30+ years and want to continue for another 30 years, but we can’t do that without some assistance,” the owners shared. “This year has been a really tough one for the restaurant and the economy has had such an impact that we are at a point where we have few options.”

They’re hoping the GoFundMe will raise at least $20,000 and keep the restaurant open.

“We value and love our customers and would not put this out there if we had any other options, but we have hit that wall. We appreciate anything that anyone can contribute and hope to continue to serve the neighborhood and Tucson for years to come!”

Having opened over 30 years ago, Old Times Kafe’s dining room provides nostalgia and the kitchen dishes out classic breakfast staples to get your morning going. It’s never easy to ask for help but that’s where the Old Times Kafe team is at right now.

The crowd-fundraiser has been active for a little over a week now and a few supporters have shown their love. You can show your support, too, by visiting gofundme.com.

You can also support them by stopping in for a bite to eat!

They’re currently open 5:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Wednesday – Monday (closed on Tuesdays).
