The same year the film “Clueless” made its debut alongside “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Coolio and TLC’s “Waterfalls,” Bison Witches Bar and Deli opened its doors at 326 N. Fourth Ave. In 1995, the restaurant’s jumbo bread bowls and sandwiches hit the local scene while Brad Pitt reeled in People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” mention.
What a year!
Now, the Fourth Avenue sandwich shop is ready to celebrate its 30th anniversary on Tuesday, January 7.
Throughout the day, the Bison Witches crew will be offering $5 draft beers, $3 seltzers, and $1 Jell-O shots. Also, they’ll take an additional 30% off your entire bill!
“Thank you to our loyal customers for the last 30 years,” the team shared. “Cheers to 30 more!”
With over 20 made-to-order sandwich options, Bison Witches’ menu is a good one to have in your late-night arsenal — one of the few local restaurants serving food after 10 p.m.
Also, there’s a daily Happy Hour from 3 – 7 p.m.
The Tucson location was the first Bison Witches to open in the mid-90s. At one point in time, the restaurant expanded up to Tempe on Mill Avenue but that location has since closed.
However, if you’re up for a road trip, there are still two other Bison Witches locations in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Norman, Oklahoma.
Bison Witches is located at 326 N. Fourth Ave. For more information, visit bisonwitchestucson.com and follow Bison Witches on Instagram.
