Arizona Arts Live and Maya Tea have teamed up to host multiple performances of Indian Ink Theatre: Mrs. Krishnan’s Party. Each one-hour-and-fifteen-minute performance takes place inside Maya Tea’s warehouse (2861 N. Flowing Wells Rd. #101) on select dates from Thursday, February 27 to Saturday, March 8.
Throughout the play, 100 strangers show up at Mrs. Krishnan’s, who has no choice but to throw “the party of her life.”
“Indians throw big parties. Heard of Diwali? A million lamps floating on a river and fireworks lighting the sky. Heard of Holi? An explosion of color and joy–massive dry cleaning bills. How about Onam? An annual harvest festival celebrating life, death, and rebirth…and possibly the biggest of them all.”
Tickets to each show range from $35 to $45 per person.
For an extra $150, join the founder and CEO of Maya Tea and Transit Tea, Manish Shah, as he takes you on an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the warehouse.
See where it’s all made before it’s warmed up or cooled down in your cup! Plus, you’ll get to take home a limited-edition commemorative tea canteen — created just for this event — and also two $100 gift cards (one for Maya Tea and one for Transit Tea).
Then, after the show, they’ll have freshly prepared vegetarian dhal (red lentils) and rice. Eat and get to know the cast!
Showtimes are either at 2 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. (depending on the day) on select dates from Thursday, February 27 to Saturday, March 8.
Maya Tea’s Warehouse is located at 2861 N. Flowing Wells Rd. #101. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit arizonaartslive.com.
