Jerry Bob’s Family Restaurant at 3601 N. Campbell Ave. has temporarily closed because of a fire that began on the ceiling.
On Tuesday, February 11, the Tucson Fire Department reported that they got the flames under control within 15 minutes. However, there’s still plenty of damage to the interior — a portion of the dining room’s wall and ceiling are now in need of renovations.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
This particular Jerry Bob’s is on the corner of Campbell Avenue and Prine Road, located in the same shopping center as Ghini’s French Caffe and Med Cuisine.
Known for its classic American diner-style menu, Jerry Bob’s has been in Tucson for years dishin’ out inexpensive meals, generous portions, and a no-frills atmosphere. Thanks to multiple ownerships, the restaurant concept’s reach spans outside of Tucson and into areas like Marana, Rita Ranch, and Sahuarita.
Stay tuned for more information and for possible opportunities to help out the local restaurant as they hopefully rebuild.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation
This Jerry Boby’s location doesn’t have much of an online presence, but you can keep up with them here.
