At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, the team behind Blax Friday is bringing back Soul Food Wednesdays to downtown Tucson.
Over the years, the local event has popped up in different spots around town, like the MSA Annex and Hot Congress, and this time they’re setting up on Playground’s rooftop, at 278 E. Congress St.
Blax Friday, a community organization that got its start in the summer of 2020, shines a light on Black-owned businesses throughout Arizona. Now in its fifth year, they’re celebrating big by hosting its largest lineup of food vendors yet at this month’s Soul Food Wednesday.
This month’s event is in partnership with Yelp Tucson and Tucson Foodie.
Soul Food Wednesdays will be at Playground, located at 278 E. Congress St. For more information, follow Blax Friday on Instagram.
