Back in 2019, the 17,000-square-foot former warehouse at 1015 S. Park Ave. began transforming into a brewery, tasting room, and beer garden. In early 2020, MotoSonora Brewing Company officially opened just weeks before the COVID pandemic forced many to close their doors.
However, the brewery overcame the odds! They resorted to selling to-go crowlers of IPAs, ales, and more until it was safe enough to allow folks into the tasting room and on the patio — an outdoor space that’s easily one of the most relaxing in town.
Five years later, the brew crew is ready to celebrate MotoSonora’s fifth anniversary.
From noon – 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, the brewery will have Baja Caravan performing throughout the day (stay tuned for set times), and Mike’s food truck will be parked outside providing grub.
Co-owners Jeff and Jeremy DeConcini will be hanging out at the on-site dunk tank. So, just how good is your aim after a couple of IPAs?
Wait, there’s more! Before all of the festivities at the brewery, they’re hosting a motorcycle ride to Arivaca with a midway stop at La Gitana Cantina & CafĂ©.
All interested motorcycle riders will meet at the brewery at 8 a.m., then, it’s “wheels up” at 9 a.m., and lastly, back to MotoSonora by 1 p.m.
Currently, the brewery is open from noon – 10 p.m. daily.
MotoSonora Brewing Company is located at 1015 S. Park Ave. For more information, visit motosonora.com.Â
