There’s a slight tilt as the Earth rotates around the sun, bringing warmer days to the Old Pueblo as spring makes itself known. Up on Mount Lemmon, it’s a nifty getaway/day trip for those trying to prolong their experience with cooler temps.
Then, once you’re up there — around 8,000 feet up — there’s a new spring menu waiting for you at 12925 N. Sabino Canyon Parkway.
On Saturday, March 1, Sawmill Run Restaurant debuted its brand-new spring-inspired collection of dishes and cocktails.
“I’m excited to welcome our guests to experience the beauty of spring on Mount Lemmon,” said Nick Avram, owner of Sawmill Run, “While enjoying our fresh, seasonal dishes and handcrafted cocktails, thoughtfully crafted for the season. I truly can’t wait to cook for you and make this season’s flavors come to life!”
The new bites, like the citrus beet salad — vegan cheese spread, red and golden beets, microgreens, grapefruit, pistachio crumbles, and a chipotle maple vinaigrette — will be on the menu until Saturday, May 31.
Sawmill Run is closed on Mondays, but check out the menu below and start planning your adventurous trek up Sabino Canyon Parkway. The restaurant is open 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday – Thursday, 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday – Sunday, and closed on Monday and Tuesday.
HEADS UP: If there’s snow or heavy rain in the forecast, call (520) 351-3351 to make sure the roads haven’t been closed.
Sawmill Run Restaurant is located at 12976 N. Sabino Canyon Park. For more information, visit sawmillrun.com.
