Over the weekend, Iron John’s Brewing permanently closed at 5350 E. Broadway Blvd. #128 — its final day was Saturday, March 8.
However, as the team mentioned on social media, this isn’t a full-on goodbye. They have plans for a new location elsewhere.
“It’s just the start of something new. We’re actively exploring a new downtown location and can’t wait to share what’s next! We’re extremely grateful for all the love and support from our amazing community — thank you for being part of our journey!”
The Iron John’s team opened this particular location in October 2023. Plans to open the taproom began in early 2020 when Iron John’s Brewing Company merged with the local burger joint, Monkey Burger. In addition to the menu’s burger arsenal, their wood-fired pizzas quickly became a hit at the Broadway location.
Hang tight for details on the brewery’s next move.
In the meantime, visit Iron John’s other taproom at 555 E. 18th St. in downtown Tucson (burgers and pizza are not served at this location). Aside from the beer-drinkin’ area in the massive building is a full-sized indoor soccer field, a small practice area in the southeast corner, and a half-court space to shoot hoops.
Also, in the vicinity, there’s another Iron John’s-owned business: Juniper, a gin-focused cocktail lounge at 222 E. Congress St. The bar operates inside a former Iron John’s taproom.
Iron John’s Brewing at 5350 E. Broadway Blvd. #128 has closed but there is another location at 555 E. 18th St. For more information about the 18th Street taproom or the Juniper cocktail bar at 222 E. Congress St., visit ironjohnsbrewing.com.
