If you’ve got a sweet tooth and a love for pan dulce, El Brunch Bistro Mexican Grill is rolling out conchas that are as big as your head — if not bigger.
Nearly a year ago, El Brunch Bistro opened its first location at 3053 S. Kinney Rd., quickly gaining a reputation for its oversized take on the classic Mexican pastry. Then, in November, they expanded with a second bistro at 1060 S. Kolb Rd.
Like many others in Tucson, El Brunch Bistro’s conchas are soft, fluffy, and sweet, topped with a crumbly, sugary shell. But here, they’re taking things a step further, baking conchas so large they barely fit on a plate.
Made fresh daily, they come in classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate.
Plus, they’re perfect for dipping in coffee.
Luckily, El Brunch Bistro has humungous mugs big enough for dunking.
Pair one with a hot café de olla or an iced horchata latte, and you’ve got yourself a breakfast worth bragging about. Additionally, there are quite a few breakfast and lunch dishes on the menu: tacos, tortas, tostadas, burros, etc.
Both restaurants are open daily from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
El Brunch Bistro Mexican Grill is located at 3053 S. Kinney Rd. and 1060 S. Kolb Rd. For more information, visit brunchbistromexicangrillaz.com and follow El Brunch Bistro on Instagram.
