On Saturday, April 26, Coffee Times and The Loft Cinema are teaming up to honor Jeremy Cripps, the owner of the coffee drive-thru, who passed away in January.
“Jeremy’s passing is truly a shock to us all — frankly, we are still in disbelief,” the Coffee Times team shared. “We thank you all for your patience over the last couple of months as we have tried to navigate a new normal without the brave captain of our ship. I know so many of you want to celebrate Jeremy and also share your beautiful memories, and we are taking care to create the space to hold the enormous love we share for him.”
As you may know, The Loft is going through renovations, adding a new section in the lobby for Hollywood-style stars to be on display. Due to his love for the theatre, the Coffee Times team has organized a fundraiser to help get Jeremy’s name on a star.
“Jeremy was a brilliant and funny storyteller who loved films,” said Jenny Carlson, Jeremy’s wife. “He was relentlessly committed to uplifting the Tucson community through happy coffee and fundraising. We can think of no better tribute to him than a donation to the Loft Cinema — one of his favorite places.”
In turn, The Loft will be donating 25% of all sales to help fund the commemorative star for Jeremy. In addition to sales at The Loft on Saturday, April 26, Coffee Times is accepting cash donations and contributions via a GoFundMe page.
“This tribute means so much to all of us at Coffee Times, and we know Jeremy would be overjoyed to see it come to life. Let’s come together as a community and make this beautiful tribute happen. For Jeremy. For the memories.”
