Up near the top of Mount Lemmon, there’s a nifty getaway/day trip for those trying to prolong their experience with cooler temps.

Sawmill Run Restaurant, located at 12925 N. Sabino Canyon Parkway, around 8,000 feet up, always seems to have a new menu with each season.

Now, there’s a brand-new breakfast menu waiting for you from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Also, the restaurant is now open daily (used to be closed on Monday and Tuesday), and remains open longer for dinner service on Friday and Saturday.

The new breakfast menu is small but mighty, featuring cinnamon French toast — three slices topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk batter and served with whipped cream and bourbon maple syrup — and a vegan “egg” sandwich made of pan-seared tofu, pickled radish, fresh greens, vegan cheese spread, green tahini sauce, on gluten-free vegan bread.
