On November 21, 2008, Tucson Tamale Company opened a small little take-out shop on Broadway and Tucson Boulevard. That little restaurant earned local, state, and national accolades for the tamales they served. From that very first day, Tucson Tamale has been on an adventurous journey — opening a nearly 15,000-square-foot facility so that more of their tamales can be sold nationwide.
“Our tamales are sold in 6,000 grocery stores in all 50 states, and we spread the tamale love by shipping our tamales to individuals and households as gifts as well as through recurring subscriptions,” said Sherry Martin of Tucson Tamale. “They are a great gift any time of year – but especially as we enter this holiday season.”
Tucson Tamale at 7286 N Oracle Rd. will be celebrating the business’s 15th birthday on Tuesday, November 21. In addition to award-winning tamales, Tucson Tamale will be serving Tamale Tortas and free Tres Leches Cupcakes (while supplies last).
At 6 p.m. there will be live mariachis and a Loteria game for prizes from Tucson Tamale and neighboring businesses. Also, stock up on tamales and food items at The Market at Tucson Tamale with a 15% discount off everything, all day.
