The Bay Horse Tavern in midtown Tucson has been a local fixture since 1948.
Just a few months ago, it was sold and then reopened under new ownership. The interior has been polished up a bit, the occasional food truck parks out front, they’re serving pizza slices from Upper Crust Pizza, local beers have a spot in the fridge, and there’s something extra special happening up on the roof.
That’s right — the iconic neon sign is about to get lit and so can you.
Bay Horse Tavern invites you to a special lighting celebration on Friday, November 15, at 5 p.m. Watch as the team flips the switch on their newly restored neon sign, beautifully brought back to life by Ignite Sign Museum.
This is the first time the neon sign has worked in more than 40 years!
“Come help us christen this beautiful piece of Tucson history.”
Open every day from 3 p.m. – 1 a.m. and known for its welcoming dive bar atmosphere, Bay Horse offers a mix of classic features like a jukebox, dartboard, shuffleboard, and a patio, making it a favorite gathering spot for the community
Party on, Tucson!
