It’s like bringing culinary greatness to a knife fight — which is a good thing.
Pasco Kitchen & Lounge is hosting two rounds of fundraising chef challenge Tucson Knife Fight beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday, October 2.
Here’s how it works — each participating chef and the Knife Fight Venue brings a secret ingredient. Each chef has 45 minutes to prepare three different dishes with one secret ingredient on each plate. Three judges will then determine a winner.
This week, Mama Louisa’s David Hargis will face off against the DoubleTree by Hilton’s Sam Arnold in the 9 p.m. culinary battle. Afterward, Charro Steak’s Travis Manning will challenge his former boss, chef Carlos Aponte at 10 p.m.
After this round, an eight person quarter-final battle is set to go down at Charro Steak next Monday, October 9.
The event is free to attend. Gift cards to local restaurants are being auctioned off throughout the night, and all proceeds will help support a local family in need.
Pasco Kitchen & Lounge is located at 820 E. University Blvd. For more information visit their Facebook Event Page.
