It’s time for the annual celebration of Sonoita’s harvest.

Just south of Tucson, where the climate is slightly cooler, Sonoita Vineyards is hosting the 2018 HarvestFest from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 28.

At the festival you can take part in multiple activities including grape stomping competitions, wagon tours of the vineyard, a souvenir giveaway to the first 100 guests, and wine tastings and pairings.

“We’re so excited to host another fabulous HarvestFest,” says winemaker, Lori Reynolds, “It’s another chance to show attendees that truly amazing wines can come out of Arizona soil.”

The 30 acres of vines and soil have aged well, too, spanning back to 1974 when it all began, and then officially opening in 1983.

All 50 of the VIP tickets sold quickly, but there’s still a little less than 200 of General Admission tickets available at $25 per person.

HarvestFest General Admission Includes:

  • Wine tasting with a souvenir glass
  • Souvenir giveaway to the first 100 people
  • Wine and food pairings
  • Winery tours with the winemaker at 11 a.m. or 2:45 p.m.
  • Vineyard tours by wagon throughout the entire day
  • Grape stomping competition at 1 p.m.

If you’re hungry, food will be available to purchase from local The Steak Out and Wood Fire Pizza.

Sonoita Vineyards is located at 290 Elgin-Canelo Rd., Elgin, Arizona. For more information and to purchase your tickets, call (520) 455-5893 or visit sonoitavineyards.com
